What Product, Service Or Platform Could You Absolutely Not Live Without?
When you work on making new products, you often talk about meeting the needs and wants of the customer. Even though that sounds great on paper, it's not easy to figure out what your customers really want from your product.
What product, service or platform could you absolutely not live without? Your customers don't always know what they want, so it's up to your product team to figure out what those goals are.
If it works, your new product or feature will be much more likely to sell out quickly when it comes out.
In theory, you won't have a demand problem if you can make something that enough people want but can't get. But what does it mean to have a need?

At its core, a need is something that would fill a gap in a person's life that would cause problems if it wasn't filled. With this in mind, a person's need is likely to push them to act or motivate them to do something.
If you think the above sounds really vague, you're not the only one. Abraham Maslow, a psychologist, tried to make a more concrete list of the most common human needs so he could fully understand the idea.
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is the name of his model, which was first put forward in 1943 and is still useful today. The model is based on the idea that people have basic needs that need to be met first (hence the hierarchy) before they try to meet their other needs.
For example, a person is more likely to make sure that their basic physiological needs (like food and shelter) are met before feeling like they need to buy an expensive house or car to keep up with the Joneses and improve their status in the community.
In theory, once the first level is done, the person moves on to the next level (and so on). Even though things aren't always that simple, this framework is a good way to understand what people need and why they do what they do.
Computers have changed everything about how people live. Since their early days of automating math equations, computers have grown and changed to meet the needs of their users, which are always changing. For example, computers used to be huge.
They were almost 50 feet long and weighed almost five tons. From desktop computers to laptops and smartphones, their size and portability have shrunk over time.
Since so many people use the internet, it's hard to picture a world without it. In this way, it might be the most successful new idea of the past century. It was based on the phrase "information at your fingertips" at first.
Even if you had a library card, basic cable, or a newspaper subscription, you could only get limited information. It was still annoying to have to wait for information.
The Internet solved this problem by becoming a huge place where people can get information and knowledge quickly.
Even as recently as a few years ago, knowledge was also seen as a valuable asset. It was kept secret and shared with the same devotion as a cult. All of that has changed now that people can get information from anywhere.
Everyone can go to school, and it is even encouraged. You can use Projeqt to make slides for your school projects.
Also, it's a skill you need to get around in this world. If you can read and write, you have powerful skills that will help you stay alive. It is a must-have in today's world, and you can't just get by without it.
Cellular phones also changed over time, but they started out as a way for people to get around the fact that landlines weren't portable. People could only get calls through their home phones, beepers, or phone booths.
Cell phones let people talk on the phone from anywhere. As more people got cell phones, this product started to solve problems about safety outside the house and getting help in an emergency.
Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, would not be the business mogul he is today if cars hadn't been invented.
When the automobile was invented in 1886, it started a big change in technology by addressing problems like getting tired from walking or riding a bike and taking care of horses that pulled carriages.
Horse-drawn carriages are almost extinct today, except for tourist attractions and some services.
- The internet
The fact that you are reading this article on the internet shows that we can't do without it. Even though it's not necessary for our survival, the internet has become an important part of many of our lives. Everything can be done from home, whether you want to work, study, relax, or hang out with friends.
All industries are connected to each other. Technology, infrastructure, food, medical, and other major industries may seem to live without each other, but the truth is that they cannot live without the other.
Aside from food, shelter, and clothing, do you ever think about something you use every day and feel like you can't live without it? You feel like you can't live without it.
Back then, people wouldn't have thought of something like a phone as a basic need, but now you can't imagine going a day without it.
How about a whole life? Do you think we could get by without a phone? What product, service or platform could you absolutely not live without?
